A Triangle Ratio Theorem and its Generalization to Higher Dimensions

Abstract:

In this paper, I discuss an interesting theorem involving a triangle and lines through a point parallel to the sides of the triangle, including both a geometric and a coordinate-based proof of the theorem. Later, I discuss and prove a generalization in higher dimensions. I conclude with a conjecture about a further generalization.
